Proving Ground DS

This was the fourth Tony Hawk game that I worked on. As a result of this and the fact that a good portion of the previous Tony team had returned, the project went quite smoothly. At the same time I think it’s the most polished Tony Hawk that I was a part of. Considering that we made the whole game in around 5 months, start to finish and I consider it a significant accomplishment.

Proving Grounds

My main contribution to Proving Grounds was in the area of level design. This is where my favorite self created Tony level, Museum came to be. About eighty percent of this level was constructed from scratch. The other twenty percent was pulled from a console level. I actually poly reduced anything that was ported from the console and got it ready for art. The level was built with the portaling system in mind, with three main sections all intelligently broken up into pieces. I was careful not to break them up in a way that would break skate flow. On top of level design, construction and critique I worked closely on new single player goal design and new multiplayer mode designs.
